Incase you're wondering this cd isn't remastered. It's just a plain reissue of the original album. There were rumors that it sounds great but to me the dynamics on the 2010 Salvo/ZTT cds are much better.

The most underrated bass player Mark O’Toole ! His contribution to FGTH was immense .

Wow this thing sounds amazing! Got a super clean copy for a great price and when I dropped it on the table I was blown away with what came out of the speakers! Amazing copy for sure! Something to consider testing out the equipment with!

Not a Frankie fan but had to have this in my collection as they wrote the best 80's slow/love song and possibly best ever. Great sounding record. Pressing is excellent.

How could you give this less than 5 stars? You can’t. Of any 80s “pop/dance/synth” LPs, this has aged better than just about all of them. Was psyched to see pitchforks recent critical re-evaluation of this release, 30 years after its release. Link below. This pressing sounds MASSIVE when you turn it up, bass hits hard and everything’s in it place. If any pressing is “better” it must be real, real marginal. I love this record , I trend toward audiophile and I feel no need to seek out an alternative.
Pleasuredome is bold, audacious, sprawling, drug-fueled and a whole lot of fun even when it’s tackling political issues and not the topic of orgasms. Its impact on today’s music is undeniable even if no one seems to cite them as an influence. It’s inclusion in the movie MaXXXine just inspired me to dig it out for the first time in years, yup, still fabulous.

This 16-bit remaster sounds amazing. The clarity, dynamics, and mix are perfect. There is a lot of punch, and some of the effects can be startling. The soundstage is very wide, and the instruments and vocals are located with laser precision.
Stylistically, this album blazed new ground in the techno/dance world - actually one could argue this album invented the genre. Disco was taking off at the time, and this shares some similarities (I'm sure this got played at some discotheques), but this is certainly not your father's disco. I have no idea why they covered Springsteen's 'Born To Run', or Bacharach's 'Do You Know the Way to San Jose' - these seem out of place.

This is one of the most original records of the 80's era for sure!
