Notes
'Echoes, Silence, Patience & Grace' is the sixth studio album by alternative rock band Foo Fighters, released on September 25, 2007 by RCA Records. The album is noted for a blend of regular rock and acoustic rock tracks with shifting dynamics, which emerged from the variety of styles employed on the demos the band produced. It also marks the second time the band worked with producer Dave Grohl brought to fully explore the potential of his compositions and have a record that sounded different from their previous work. Grohl tried to focus on songs with messages that resonated on the audience, writing reflective lyrics which drew inspiration from the birth of his daughter.

Edited 4 months agoAbsolutely incredible dynamic release. Like other double discs put out by the Foo Fighters, this could have maybe been mastered as a single disc, or included a few extra tracks off a deluxe edition if kept to two. However, the tradeoff is that these pressings sound outstanding. The result is essentially two EPs at 33 rpm. Absolutely zero compromises. If you are a fan of the original release of the album, get this. -

Does anyone know what year this release is from? Bought mine in 2022, but no release year info is available on the site I bought it from, nor on the record itself (other than the original release year of 2007, which I doubt this is from). -
How you tell apart this 2015 reissue from the 2007 first pressing? Thank you. -
Watch out collectors! Tons of cheap reissues listed here....the original first pressing has an etched "ⓤ" or "Ⓤ" (U in a circle) in the matrix/runout, don't be fooled!

My copy sounds incredible, like superior to Wasting Light and all other Foo releases I have by a mile -
One of Foo's best albums with a great mix of hard and mellow recordings. Dave along with the late great Tom Petty know how to record on vinyl with these double lps. Simply an auditory delight.

My only complaint is that the record itself is tight fit in the inner sleeves. I can barely get the record out without accidentally touching the groove area with my palm trying my usual method of fore finger on the label and thumb on the outer edge and sliding the disc out. Instead, I have to just let the record drop out of the sleeve, and even then I have to shake it out because it's so tight.

Does anyone notice sibilance on this pressing? Home for example is really bad on my copy. If anyone has the same problem, I wonder if this was fixed with the 2015 reissues?
