referencing Total Terror (CD, ) DCD 9051
So let me get this straight. Total Terror came before the Initial Command and was the first stuff FLA ever did. Not considered an official release. The Initial Command gets that honor? We have Initial Command, State of Mind next and then corrosion/disorder where things really started to change. These guys really had a cool trajectory of growth in sound and culminated I think with tactical neural implant and then after that all downhill. -
The sound quality is excellent, considering they used a primitive recording system (their own words). That's what's great about this album: the primitive sounds, samples, beats and keyboards/synths. Very, very cold electro-industrial/EBM with some ambient to provide a welcome breather. The artwork adds to the atmosphere and is in the same style as the reissues of Total Terror II, The Initial Command and Corroded Disorder. The colour of the vinyl is a light brown, quite subtle. The vinyl is quiet. A very enjoyable listen.
This is still available at a normal price (30 euro) at the webshop of the label, from which I ordered it as well. -
Edited 2 years agoSorry to say this but the vinyl quality is very bad. The vinyl sound very cracky ......sad!
