Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds – Push The Sky Away

This is the lowest I’ve paid for a vinyl record completely brand new and sealed at my local record shop. I was expecting average quality control and sound quality. But man am I blown away. This album sounds insane on vinyl. So much detail and presence. Nicks voice on here sounds holographic it’s incredible. Mixing and mastering on this is top notch. I agree with the comment below that this sounds like it was cut on 45rpm. The record also is heavy. This is at least 180g or more. This is making me question the high prices of pressings selling double or triple the price of this and being of less quality. I highly recommend this pressing.

It sounds like it was cut at 45 rpm. The sound is detailed, dynamic, the sound space is wide, all the instruments are enjoyable individually and together. Great master, great cut, great album.
My B-side came with some pops and surface noise that won't go away after multiple cleanings, probably due to a faulty pressing on my copy.

This album just puts you in a dark place...a scary...place of evil and sadness....such a fantastic album. Listen to this in the dark...if you dare.

Just excellent release. I’d say, that it sounds just terrific - as transparent, deep and wide as it can be. One of the best sounding record in my collection.
The packaging is cool. Besides my copy is dead silent. And what an album itself!

Required some cleaning after new but sounds pretty great! Didn't know there was a 7 inch included in other releases of this album so kinda kicking myself.

The recording, mastering, and pressing of this album are all excellent - of course without a good group of songs, all that doesn't matter much, but this record is filled with great songs, an excellent album

This is one of my favorite Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds albums. It's a cohesive work that utilizes the best of Cave's soundtracking talents in a Seeds record. However, the pressing was done by the red right hand and is a disappointment. It has noise, but not surface noise, this noise is a constant low-volume wobble underneath the music. The record does not look warped. I thought my stylus might need replacement, so I tried some records with great sound and they still sound great. So it is the pressing. I hope an ultrasonic cleaning resolves the issue. If it does, I will update this.

By far the dirtiest album I've purchased new but sound is really great. Few pops between the first and second tracks but the rest is perfect! Amazing record.

This is not audiophile, but it does not need to be. If you dig this type of music, it is worth to get it. Just clean it well before you play it.

Very pleased with this pressing after the bad experience with other Nick Cave pressings. Sound is awesome and super quiet vinyl.
