I'm with KDSutherland. This is a wonderful recording and pressing. As with many of the Original Source pressings, the dynamics are just awesome.

My copy (ultrasonically cleaned) is dead quiet, and I was listening to it on headphones, which makes noise more apparent. So as KD says, if yours is noisy, something is wrong with it.

My copy is nice and clean. I do find the records in this series very staticky, and require a clean. However, even without cleaning this, my copy is quiet, really quiet. One or two very light pops that I'm sure will come out with a ultrasonic clean. Sometimes I think people on come on here to complain!

If you get a copy with excessive noise... RETURN IT. It's the only way the label will know that the pressing plant is not doing it's job and should lead to an improvement in pressings. One would hope!

"Tonally bright and even shrill" is not something I thought when listened to this. Perhaps people are too used to having the top end rolled off. It's an orchestra, the highs are going to sharp and loud. I'm not hearing anything excessive. And I'm listening on studio monitors.

Overall, it’s a good recording, but I find the price-performance ratio not quite right. The highs seem somewhat exaggerated and sharp to me, which I find unpleasant. I have noticed this issue with other albums in the series as well. Therefore, I probably won’t purchase another record from this series.

Tonally bright and even shrill at times. Lacking bass. The 2014 version is better balanced, but not AAA as far as I know. Some pressing issues: clicks and ticks here and there. A little knocking in one part. Side A outro glitchy. Otherwise a nice quiet pressing.

Fantastic and certainly up the the DGOS standard. It’s full of energy and emotion and delivers an immersive listening experience. The additional reverb is mostly well executed as it only sounds “fake” in a few places (last note of the first movement). Now that I know it’s there, the reverb adds a lusciousness to the presentation which I can only assume was necessary.

The pressing quality is seriously holding this series beck from being absolutely epic. This has to go back due to so many ticks and pops.

Known as one of the best recordings of the 9th, and rightly so. My favourite Dvorak symphony done with the energy and dedication it needs. Every movement could have existed on its own; it's that well written. But altogether it stands as greater than the sum of its parts.
