      A heavy hitting chart topper from 90's Trance legend Sash!, 'Stay' was the final single to be released from his debut album 'It's My Life'. This CD2 UK release showcases a wealth of remixes & renditions of the title track and makes the most of the different genre's of dance music prevalent across that year.
      The single and 12" original versions bookend the release, with a stack of four remixes to shift up the pace. First is the 'Eat Me Edit' - a more dialled back reboot of the song that also offers up an extended intro. Next is 'The Lisa Marie Vocal Experience' which leans heavily on the dark euro pop angle and adds different vocal takes from throughout the sessions by Le. Trec, making it a bold take on this club classic.
      The final two remixes on the single are by Magnificent 4 and 2 Phunky People - the former being a bouncy trance tune that seems to capture the brooding yet playful attitudes of the dance genre (sadly though this makes it a little cheesy in retrospect), the latter being a bouncy house tune that brings back the lyrics with gusto providing an expert mash-up of the musical styles and pushing the treble as far as it will go for the hook, leaving a lasting mark on such a well known tune.
      For a last hurrah in regards to Sash's first album it could have been a lot worse. The wealth of talent this guy had in the late 90's made him an icon in the club circuit, and with the amount of remixes supplied here it's clear that he was making a lot of waves in all the right circles too. 'Stay' is a big stonking trance tune with some life still left in it after 20 years and is certainly unmissable for any fan of dance that is looking to beef up their playlists.

        A1 version, impossible to enjoy, monotone mix doesn't evolve anywhere
        A2 a little bit more messing around with the singing, echoes out of the Rhythm.
        B1 has some work in it, not a bad mix but could be much better
        B2 Some kind of horror synth at the background, I can say again very boring mix

        Overall: I dropped my copy to the charity shop, but even for a penny I think they will asking too much. The record is a Big disappointment!
