My copy is a gold stamped promo. I have the 2021 double LP clear vinyl and love it, but this is better. DMM stamped single vinyl delivers crystal clear high tones balanced with punchy bass lines, floating amid a 3D soundstage that has so many sonic nuances. Lou’s powerful voice is out front of the music. Nice snap to the snare drums. Wow. This is the pressing to own. [Tech specs in my profile]. -

My favourite ever Lou Reed album, sad and funny, reflective and angry, loud and quiet. A lovely solid original UK pressing. -

Cramming more than 55 minutes on one LP was probably not a great idea, but at least I don't hear any audible distortion. -
Quiet and flat pressing, great vocal presence of Lou on the mastering which fits material. High Res digital of the album and live versions on the DVD are great as well. Kind of under appreciated album, ‘Last Great American Whale’ is as relevant today as 36 years ago. RIP Lou Reed -
Agree this is a great package of his best solo album. Remaster is detailed and clear but loses some of the dynamic “live in studio” feel of the intended recording when compared to my OG US DMM Masterdisk. Happy to listen to both depending on mood.

One of the few clear vinyl I own that actually sound great. This and Japanese Whispers by The Cure sound amazing considering how bad clear vinyl usually seems to sound. Well worth it for any Lou Reed fans. -

I have this album on cassette, CD and now the box set. My favourite Lou Reed album, a classic that captures a New York in a particular time, now gone forever. -
