Very lo-fi atmospheric album. Sounds great here. Really glad I found it. I suggest listening to it in the dark. -
I think Sub Pop re-pressed this after Lanegan died, it was completely sold out everywhere for a while and now there are 50 copies for sale. If that’s the case, and I do believe it is, I wonder if it has the same matrix numbers?

I have zero complaints on this pressing other than it needed to be cleaned straight out of the sleeve. It had sleeve/pressing marks or something on the vinyl. After a good cleaning I played it and I’m hearing almost no background noise at all. My copy is not pressed off-center and it is indeed the Golden pressing. It sounds very good to me. The one question that I do have is that my Copy has some matrix numbers pressed into the lead in grooves. I’ve never seen this before, first time. Also I just bought this new in June 2022. Has it been repressed since the 2017 pressing? Same barcode #. Could my copy be a newer pressing from Sub Pop that is not yet listed on Discogs? -

I wonder how the box version sounds. I've bought all the Sub Pop releases separately and all of them sound great except this one. By far the noisiest one.

These albums weren't released separately on 180g vinyl. Only available in the box set. Standard weight albums reissued Oct 2016. -

Replacement also pressed off center.. Must be whole run. -

Well, got my set today from Amazon. Beautiful set....... Generally pressed ok.
Did anybody notice that Field Songs Side A is pressed off center? I'm guessing not because of a bad hole drill but misaligned stampers. So, as the needle rocks back and forth, noticeable warble is audible especially as it gets toward the center tracks. I ed Amazon for a replacement.
Thanks,
Primo
