Lana Del Rey – Born To Die

Just listened to this. It is an excellent pressing, super clean.

I think this is one of my favorite vinyls, the blue color of the vinyl matches the cover and the mood of the album perfectly, this edition is a pure masterpiece 💙

If your record is still sealed, you can see from the side, if it contains a cardboard as filling or not, you dont have to unseal it, so be sure to ask before you buy.

Never thought I’d get vinyl from Target, but this was cheaper than any place I’ve bought from in quite awhile. I’m not concerned with the “limited edition opaque red”, but it sounds great, so I’m happy with this pressing.

Listening to the record right now I must say I am quite relieved.

When the album was released I was on preorder and got one example of the first run in only to be massively disappointed because of the mastering making the record basically unlistenable to my ears. Excessive compression and distorted highs created a sound wall with Lana's voice being buried somewhere inside. It lead to me returning my order.

Now, some 13 years later, I have tried again with the deluxe version and am quite enjoying what I am hearing. It's by no means a dynamic pressing but so far at least it does not lead to bleeding ears. Sound is fine, music's great, I'll make that a win.

Consider, though, that my turntable has also changed from my first listening experience. Then it was a Pro-Ject Debut II with an Ortofon cartridge with some middle class needle on it. Now I own a vintage JVC automatic turntable with a very rare and quite precious Elac cartridge with completely different abilities. Adjusted weight on the needle is similar, though, they are both on the light side.

I Purchased this second hand through a bundle deal I didn’t have plans to add Lana to my collection but I do like her voice just haven’t given her enough of a chance. I bought the bundle for Halsey’s Badlands pressed on blue vinyl with pink labels and ended loving this pressing more than that one! I knew her voice would be perfect for vinyl and the warmth with this album is phenomenal.

Flat, clean pressing that sounds good on my system. Lyric sheet with photo included, and I appreciate the lined inner sleeve.

Most of the runout numbers match, but mine does not say Masterdisk. Lyric sleeve notes Metropolis Mastering of London.

Loooooved it! Master sounds great!!! the OBI was perfect with the contrast of the Cover.. ♥️

My question is simple: does this set contain both born to die and paradise on vinyl?
