Thom Yorke – Confidenza

Very decent copy without quality issues. Just wish latest Yorke’s works weren’t cut as warm but can’t complain

After some hit and miss experiences with XL vinyl releases in recent times, I was relieved to discover this one sounds really nice. Good dynamics, clear reproduction, flat and clean vinyl. A couple (literally) of soft crackles here and there, but I suspect they’ll come good after a clean. There’s a faintest of ripples in the record itself, but nothing concerning. Sleeve is attractive too with flip-back style gloss lamination and embossing. The insert of the cover feels a bit pointless. Perhaps something featuring stills from the film might have been more interesting. Great package tho, particularly happy with the audio.

This is music that grows with time, so enjoy it just the way it is. It is not another Radiohead's album or Thom Yorke's electronic solo project. It has something to do with The Smile (Tom Skinner is playing the drums here!), but it is music for a film, so it should be nice to just take it as it is.
This pressing is OK! Unfortunately we are used to have very random quality pressings with XL, so this one is fine, still flat for me.

Another dogshit XL pressing. Avoid. Returning mine. I think I'm giving up on future Radiohead/Smile/Thom Yorke vinyls until they figure it out.

A Black vinyl with no surface noise, pop, crack or any other noise. Vinyl is Black, isn't it ?

Thom Yorke fans will probably like this one. I’m more of a Radiohead guy than TY solo stuff, but I still like it. Sounds good and the pressing quality is acceptable. Not noisy at all but an occasional tick or pop. It’s vinyl

My copy has consistent surface noise across both sides. They are sending me a second copy. Hoping it is much better.

Some Indie stores gave away prints of the album art with sales of the record

Why does every Thom Yorke related project sound terrible? This and both The Smile albums are riddled with surface noise/nonfill.
