Original B'way Cast* – South Pacific

My A/B runouts match this version (XLP 1116-4D and XLP 1117-AAD, respectively), but my six-eye label is grey and clearly says 'MADE IN U.S.A', not Canada. Does anyone else have this variant?

Latter day re-issue of the 1949 recording with the original Broadway cast with extra brownie points for the definitively bold album art. A guaranteed sail down memory lane with Rogers and Hammerstein's South Pacific! This one is specially dedicated to one Laura B. (W.I.L.) Baobab-House-Music

This album was recorded in 1949, simultaneously directly to disc and also to magnetic tape. This release used the magnetic tape master for the first time. All prior releases used the disc master. As for the common recordings of this show's score, the soundtrack version is as common as the original Broadway cast recording, however IMHO, the 1949 mono recording triumphs over the 1958 stereo soundtrack in of performances. With the exception of Mitzi Gaynor and Ray Walston, all of the other onscreen performers in the film lip-synched to dubbed recordings, whereas the cast of the original cast recording did their own singing on the album and still remains as the finest performances of this Rodgers and Hammerstein score.

My version has a similar cover with the same catalog number. Except the catalog number is larger and in the top right corner. Also instead of seven 7" records it contains 4 EP's with the same track listing. They are numbered 7-1438, 7-1439, 7-1440, and 7-1441 along with having A 850-1 to A 850-8

My version of OL 4180 (new cover, gatefold) has XLP-1116-4K and XLP-1117-4K

My version has a silver box with OL 4180 printed on the front where the serial number is printed, while the disc is the grey Columbia Masterworks label with ML 4180 on it. Neither of these are listed on here. Can anyone help me identify my version?
