Foo Fighters – But Here We Are

Can someone please advise how this one sounds please. Ten words

Just a warning to others… I ordered this from the Foo Fighters webstore and received an MRP pressing… not an RTI.

And this MRP pressing is noisy AF — they often are.

Rega RP40 with Exact 2.

This started off promising… but by track 4 the pops and clicks were strong.

Hmm UK let’s you sign up and go through the whole process and then won’t let you purchase outside UK. Stupid. Only option is Discogs or eBay.

and it's 34.99 still freely available so why the spivs are listing at hugely inflated prices i don't know

My copy looks quite pristine: no warping, no rough edges. However, it does suffer from the aforementioned loud noise floor that is present overall on the album.
This is more noticeable on the B side, where the songs tend to have softer intros. It's especially extreme on 'Rest,' but you can pretend to find some analogue charm in this song in particular.
Overall, I'm going to keep it, as the actual quality of the music is decent, but I guess I'll mostly stick to the digital version.

The album is a good one after what was a dud or two for me. Full of pathos and heart. My white pallas press is quite warped and semi pringled. The mastering is good enough, better than a digital copy i heard first but its cut mega low so the vinyl noise floor is ruthlessly exposed. Thankfully, mine is a quiet one which is mostly typical of the German Pallas plant (much better than its US counterpart imo for defect rate).
Hope to add the black cooy soon too.

Under You is the best song Grohl has written in over 20 years, didn’t see that coming! Tragic backstory aside (RIP Taylor) the rest of the album isn’t up to the same standard, unfortunately, but it’s still a step up from everything FF’s done since the snoozefest Sonic Highways.

Rarely disappointed with a Foo Fighters vinyl. This one did not disappoint either. Sounds fantastic on my system.

Only thing I would want more, is a Gatedold and perhaps spread over 2 discs as a 45 🙏

I expected better from a Pallas pressing. Good sound, but the record is warped and appears to have been trimmed with a saw...
