Solid pressing for a 90’s release. Punchy enough and they have got the overall mix/production just right for this stripped down raw sound DL were looking for. A pricey LP in the wild should you be tempted. DL seem to have reissued a lot of their back catalogue bar this one. Only appearing as part of a boxset from a few years back. -

This was only sold as part of the volume 2 box set and never sold to buy individually like some of the other vinyls

what are the differences between this issue and the other 2014 2LP issue on same label with same cat#? Thanks.

An album everybody seemed to hate back in the day and later recognised as one of Def Leppard's standout records that holds up better than most other artists' similar adventures into new territories.
Sure, Slang can't reach the hight of Pyromania or Hysteria but it never supposed to be a big hit either. Instead it provides a unique tone to a band known for their stadium filling rock anthems with a more edgy and darker tone. See for example tracks like Deliver Me or Pearl of Euphoria what are very much like a breath of fresh air in their repertoar.
Leppard took a leap of faith and unfortunetally resulted in a failed experiment. Personally I would have loved if they'd chase this angle in the future but that's not what happened. Still, I'm gonna cherrish this album for what it is and not hate on it for what it isn't.
