Formed in 1974, JIM BARNES Cold Chisel achieved massive success in Australia w/its brand of working-class-themed pub rock. Despite several attempts, they could not translate success internationally & Broke-up 1983.

If you were asked to take two releases from each country onto the Discogs Ark, then this would have to be the first one to take from Australia. There are no lame tracks and every Aussie can sing along to at least half the album. With Jimmy Barnes belting out the words, with a mouth full of gravel and the Ian Moss hitting the right notes on the guitar this album showcases the best of a Great Australian Pub Rock band. Could be said to be the soundtrack of Australian life.
