Park Hye Jin* – Before I Die

Originally ~$50 on the artist’s Bandcamp only. Great sounding press.

Hard to feel like I haven't been scammed with this. After a few months my record hadn't arrived so I emailed Ninja Tune. No response. So I ask for a refund and they reply instantly telling me they sent a replacement. I wait for that copy, doesn't come. I apply for refund via PayPal and then they claim they sent yet another copy. Now, a year later, not one of the suppsed three copies have arrived. Real shady

Does anyone know where this was originally from? Looks like it would be really cool but the reviews make me very hesitant.

Great album! great artist! my copy has quite a bit of static throughout, even after cleaning.
my copy also has a ripple in the vinyl but thankfully it doesn't effect play.
Nice gatefold cover with satin finish. Unfortunately the 'parental advisory ' warning is printed on the cover... why? a completely unnecessary blight on the artwork!
The 7" is a great addition to this release as both tracks are amazing.
Comes with a code. As i purchased mine directly through bandcamp, i used the provided with their purchase email; this did not include for the two tracks on the single.
I will try the code supplied with the album to see if it includes these tracks.

So...weird story I got mine, and the art prints are all entirely mirror-imaged. So the higher shoulder is on the right, and even the inside and back photos are mirror images of what you can find on the ninja tune store and bandcamp. is this just me?

Besides that though, good heft to the record, feels closer to 180 than 140g. The 7 inch sits a bit loose in the sleeve, but otherwise decent press.

Edit: this first run does indeed feature a misprinted cover, Hye Jin herself has mentioned on her social media that she is trying to get Ninja Tune to fix it.

What about a review of the music of this artist?

The "Signed" Blue Vinyl arrived with me today, it was the inner plain sleeve that had the signature on, but it just looks like a wavy line and the pen was clearly running out when mine was done. I've found this with a lot of signed stuff of recent, the artists will just put their initials and not full name, Richard Ashcroft = RA, Angel Olsen - AO. I get its knackering on the hands, but come on fans are paying for these special limited editions.

Got this in the mail the other day and was kinda confused with the scribble. tight album tho

Pretty disappointed in this honestly, rough signature and the packaging is just an inner sleeve so my copy got really scuffed
