My copy is NM - it sounds like Lightnin is in the room playing to me. -
This is raw. Just guitar and voices. Great selection of songs. Great listen to a master musician. -

I can’t argue with the sound quality not being great but there I don’t really expect a mono blues record from 59’ to be dynamic. Fantastic blues album! -
Edited 2 years agoThere is a note on another release page of this record that says the Tradition Everest presses are from 1966 or later, and its not unusual for all the reference data to not add up. The Tradition Everest versions are 1966 or older according to Tradition Records (3) discography. -
My runout reads TR 2035A TR 1035-A Pete Helfrich/TR2035B TR 2035-B Pete Helfrich. Is this the same release or different? Labels and jacket both say TLP 1035.

This record purchased Jan 2019. VG / VG plays ok but is pretty dull sounding. Could be manufacturing issue or played out by previous owner. It is unlike most of my other Lightnin' LPs which are all second hand and some well played.
