I have this and it is an incredibly fine pressing. The packaging is well crafted; I especially appreciate the shiny overlays on the gatefold. There is some disc warp, but it's minor and doesn't affect playback on my system. The EQ on this is real even, which makes sense because of the variety of styles presented from punk to funk to modern jazz. A "rock" EQ serves it best, even the jazz tracks. This movie was extremely daring for its day, and the music represents that with alacrity. Kinda want to host a night at a gay bathhouse and just play this whole set for its 2+ hours.

... also completists might want to track down a copy of Quintettino La Musica Notturna Delle Strade Di Madrid Op. 30 No. 6, composed by Luigi Boccherini, which closes the film (segueing straight into 'It's So Easy') - not sure which recording of this piece is used in the film, possibly Von Karajan.

Don't have it, but looks excellent and definitive - a shame they couldn't or wouldn't include Jack Nitzsche's incidental music though.

Totally fantastic...It can't be better done than this here...The artwork is so great it's unbelievable...So is the mastering and everything...I don't know if I would have loved if the tracks were put together for each band - because I don't think it would have mattered in this case to change the original song order - and it would have been great to have all germs tracks on one side... also the cripples tracks (awesome!) - but anyway... this release is totally amazing... a pure power package!!!

Arguably the greatest movie soundtrack album ever released. Punk, New Wave even Funk. Classics galore; Heat of the Moment, Lump, Shakedown and It's So Easy. Not a weak track on the album. More than a slap in the face more like a punch in the face. Why aren't soundtracks this good anymore?

Its a pleasure to listen to, Ive had several copies of the old 1LP issue, and this sounds just as good or better. Its possible to argue of course, its probably a different style mastering but anyway, this is a superb pressing. and the bonus tracks are killer! price is a bit high and the sleeve is a bit too thick for my taste, those are my only complaints.

The Germs’ tracks sound great here finally! They found the masters (pictures are on Waxworks’ social media pages). It was refreshing to finally hear ‘My Tunnel’ without the audio dropout at the beginning. Hope the label releases digital/CD in the future. The credits also incorrectly state the session songs were recorded on 12/03/80 at The Starwood. They are the studio versions we all worship.
Overall a great pressing with a nice two page essay by the director. It’s worth the price, go for it! -
