Bruce Dickinson – The Chemical Wedding

Does anybody know how many copies were pressed of this limited run on colored vinyl?

Any comments on the sound quality and presentation on this colored variant? As good as the 2017? Matrix codes?

The cover is a gatefold. Gatefold has on lyrics on the inside on the left side. Right side has some info and smaller pictures. The cover art is blurry (looks like a digital scan with the wrong canvas settings). The vinyls (there's 2 LPs) themselves came in nice blurry hard cardboard inner sleeves with some blurry band-picture on the outside. Vinyls were carefully slid out into pre-purchased poly-lined inner sleeves (black of course), as I knew this would be the case (PS: it's the same with Accident of Birth too, so be aware).

Nothing can be complained about this pressing. My vinyls are flat, quiet, and the levels are cut at +7db (slightly before clipping) which is very hot and alike how the 80's vinyls were pressed. Being a owner of the CD version for a long time, I find this album one of Bruce's pinnacle in his solo career. The songs are well composed and arranged. Also that Adrian Smith is onboard, makes this almost sound like Smith/Dickinson songs on an Iron Maiden album. Now, being a bit detailed here; the guitar solo in Chemical Wedding is just mind blowing. The Tower is another song that is really well arranged, with cool twin guitars. Along with the album Accident of Birth, these two albums kills everything Iron Maiden did in the 90's and post 2000, with Bruce's voice still intact.

Being able to get this brand new at €16, I do not regret purchasing this double vinyl. Highly recommended.

Chemical wedding production and sound quality is mind-blowing and this is preserved (if not enhanced) in this vinyl remaster, keeping the same high standards with the first release.

Double disc 180 gram vinyl, gatefold with lyrics, printed inner sleeves. Excellent sound quality. Really, a very well done pressing, perfectly clear sound without a hint of surface noise. In of packaging, I wish the William Blake artwork would have been used more prominently, perhaps for the inner sleeves. Blake's artwork appears on the back cover of the vinyl at an even smaller scale than it appears in the CD booklet, which is quite disappointing. Vinyl is one of the few formats where you can really push the scale of the art and they squandered that opportunity.

My biggest complaint (which really should be added to the Notes section for this pressing):
The Alchemist does not include hidden William Blake prose. On the CD, The Alchemist is 6 minutes long followed by 2 minutes and 10 seconds of silence. At 8:11, Arthur Brown recites:
"And all this vegetable world appeared on my left foot, as a bright sandal form'd immortal of precious stones and gold. I stooped down and bound it on to walk forward through eternity."
That prose has been eliminated from the vinyl release altogether, it is a CD exclusive. On the vinyl, the song The Alchemist ends and that is the end of the album.

It is exceptional in all . sounds great. Not a reissue since it was never released on LP. Exceptional Packaging. The sound is really out of this world. Wide sound stage.
