There is a lot of Zappaesque glockenspiel on this recording. A great transition sound of the Gong machine -

Incredible! Perhaps this show was booked as “Gong” but IMO it is the the missing link between the masterful Gong that released the trilogy of “Radio Gnome” “Angels Egg” & “You”, Steve Hillage’s first album, and Pierre Moerlin’s Gong with Alan Holdsworth. It’s the first Gong without Daevid Allen, which in theory is not really Gong to many.
So, on this album is Gong material “Master Builder”, Steve Hillage solo (“Afterglid”), and Pierre Moerlin’s Gong “(Shamal”).
The recording quality is excellent, and the playing fantastical neo-hippy Canterbury French prog happiness! -

This concert recording for Radio Trent was mixed live by John Arnold and John Moon.
Steve Hillage left to go solo after this ie Fish Rising. Glad I kept the master tapes for this, as they should have been destroyed after 2 transmissions on instructions of the MU agreement !!!! Check out my other live recordings, cheers - John Moon (3)
