Psychic TV – Dreams Less Sweet

I’ve had my copy since 1992 and there’s absolutely no sign of Disc rot.

Stevo from Some Bizzare’s business model was to sign the bands, pay for the recordings, sell them to a label and recoup the costs from the an advance. The labels never got a return on the advance and as such all master tapes belonged to them, they didn’t really want them but that how the industry works, so they stored somewhere slowly deteriorating.
The EP was independently pressed and then included with the album. Stevo would have maintained full ownership but as far as I know they’re MIA. Jordi valls from Vagina Dentata Organ used the tapes of the wolves for the album Music For The Hashishins.
It’s a shame that Stevo worked this way as the first two PTV albums as we know them today are sourced from who knows where.
The best live album of this era to own if you can find it is NY Scum, the Berlin Atonal 1+2 are also good and are a little under the radar price wise.

Hard to believe not a review here. This is a great reissue of a great album. Reissue is identical to the 1983 version from Some Bizarre.

I got a red version that was sealed but didn't come with the cd or any of the bonus stuff. What gives?

I got a slightly warped vinyl of this a few weeks ago at a market for 2euro. What an incredible album. Strange and beautiful. Track it down, you won't be disappointed with the class.
