Bonnie Tyler – Total Eclipse Of The Heart

Back in the fall of 1983 when "Total Eclipse of the Heart" was climbing the charts in the US, I bought multiple copies of the 45 because I wore it out. (I lived in Virginia but was attending college in Tennessee.) I never paid attention to whatever timing was listed on the label, but the 45 release had the 5:30 version, not the 4:30 one—and the 5:30 version is the one they always played on the radio at the time. So I've always considered the 5:30 version to be the proper single version and the 4:30 version to be a poorly edited version of that. Sadly, the latter is what I mostly hear these days on the radio.

1983 single, both songs are taken from the FASTER THAN THE SPEED OF LIGHT album.
Record plays with faint surface noise and no skips. No sleeve.

Total Eclipse of the Heart is a iconic tune from the 80's and with good reason it's full of the strain of emotion and lack thereof. Take me back on the B side is just an 80's tunes with nothing really standing out to me, I guess they had to put something on the otherside of it.

Probably the only 5:30 7'' single version in the entire world... one more minute longer than others 7'' versions. I found this version on a US release CD compilation with hits from the 80's.
