Altın Gün – Gece

Excellent copy no background noise... in addition, my copy has already been cleaned because, like many new records, they sometimes contain residues from manufacture or from storage in paper sub-pockets (or both). Clean your vinyl before listening, it makes a big difference. The immersion in the music is more intense.

Oh man, this is such a great album. I have this one as well as "On", and I can't stop listening to them. Guess I will be picking up the other two albums as well. Can't rate this highly enough.

Lots of in groove distortion and noise on mine. I’m not usually one of those guys who comments on these things but here it’s pretty pronounced.

My copy was slightly warped and had some scratches at the end of side B.

Funny how they never mention that they're a cover band. None of these songs, or any songs on any of their releases is self-written. But great records nonetheless. Just a bit shitty that they never ever give any credit or shout out to the masters of the 60s and 70s which their entire career is build on.

The recording on the lp sounds good, but this pressing specifically has a lot of surface noise. I cleaned it once before playing and will try cleaning more but so far not impressed.

Somehow outdoing their scorching debut, Amsterdam-based Turkish folk group Altın Gün amp up the psychedelia on their second album, adding dashes of burbling synths to the mix. Highly recommended if you enjoy Khruangbin.

Was kind of worried about the pressing quality, but to my ears this copy sounds quite good - and it is an amazing record as well!
