Does anyone else have markings in the track "Burning Hell" - they do not affect play

This is really nice and funny album by REM, and sounds great. The sound is warm and crisp.

As a record of outtakes and covers, this release is better than most. Their influences are solid and their playing is direct. Considering their age, they were mature beyond their years. R.E.M. created their own sound and it’s evolution is contained on this record. My cd version includes Chronic Town as an added bonus, only adding to my appreciation of this record.

This is not their best album. It's ok. Very ambient sounding, like a dream state that is a hallmark of REM's sound and Stipe's style. There are a lot of covers on this album and they are all treated to the same sound scape. Even King of the Road sounds like a stereotypical REM album. It's good. Not great, but good. The only song that really stood out for me is White Tornado - a surf jam.

Sounds fabulous on vinyl as most REM IRS releases do. I've owned this forever and no idea it was pressed on green translucent vinyl, but I held it up to a light today and lo and behold, that is correct! Funny comment by the band on the lower right corner of the back of the sleeve: "we do soundtracks"

Holy crap. I've had this record for 20 years or so, and had no idea it was actually translucent until just now. Thank you discogs, this makes one of my favorite records even better. :D

It's not really "colored" vinyl. It's on Quiex II type vinyl, which like you said, changes color depending on what kind of light source you're using. Neat record! I wonder if the non-promo version is pressed on Quiex II as well? I've heard most of R.E.M's records on I.R.S. were all pressed on this stuff.
