The highlight of The Wedding Album still is underrated…… No one really gets the sadness from Too Much Information to Drowning Man…. And going into Shotgun….. The dance vibe is supposed to bring people up to Care who has Come Undone and ultimately not take a Shotgun to the head…… Then live Breath After Breath and into the B side…… Sad….. but One of the best songs

There were much better songs on "The Wedding Album" considering the lyrics, why Capitol chose to release this as a US single is just odd. Did someone at Capitol hate Duran Duran or was this just self sabotage? The remixes have that early 90's rave sound, however if you are going for that rave sound sound you will be better served looking at the US test pressing remixes D:ream did for EMF: https://discogs.versitio.com/release/1152023-EMF-Theyre-Here

I hated this when it came out. Now I guess it's not so bad. It's middle-of-the-road, chunky progressive house, just chugging along with a duotone bassline and vaguely trancey vibe, pretty much always keeping some minor-key piano chords and synth pads in play. You can tell it's a remix of a pop song, though, something for the clubs rather than the raves. Closest analogs are The Grid, Justin Robertson, and Pet Shop Boys' "Music For Boys".
Despite being a relatively limited release as Duran Duran singles go, it's easy to find and still affordable.
Weirdly, the album version is mastered 5 dB louder than the remixes. -
The original version of 'Drowning Man' appeared on the DD Wedding Album. About a year later these remixes were released and they barely resemble the album version, which doesn't mean they are bad remixes, they are actually quite good. All versions are dance floor friendly and have a dub feel to them. The lyrics 'your going down' are constantly sampled and resampled, making the point of a drowning man.
