Originally released on 22 September 2017.
It is the second and final album to feature Lindsay Schoolcraft on narration before her departure in February 2020.
Dani Filth said the album "is deeply infused with Victorian gothic horror and thus the title is a reflection of that. 'Cryptoriana' implies the Victorians' infatuation with the supernatural, the grave and the ghoulish.
And the subtitle, 'The Seductiveness of Decay', further cements this attraction to death and the glittering lengthy process of self-annihilation".

This is a fantastic release of this album. Gatefold 2 LP, high quality art, antistatic sleeves, discs came between the jacket to prevent splitting. Flawless sound, no cracks, pops. Clean and flat discs.

This RU edition's artworks are over saturated, but lyrics pages look much better than other EU & US editions' dark tone. -

Awesome album, symphonic "untrue" black at its finest. The sound of these picture discs is pretty good,
a little bit noisy at the beginning of the tracks but nothing too much annoying. Also awesome art. -

Is it just me or is there a severe amount of distortion in the cymbals for about the first half of "Heartbreak and Seance" with the distortion subsiding in a bit in the second half of the track? I have played through it with two different cartridges but there is still a lot of distortion it seems. Also sounds like a problem in stereo channels in the first half.
