Reminds me of the genre tag floating around at the time known as "Knackered House." For Burial, it's actually pretty straightforward house music with a romantic vibe. I can understand why someone might find it boring but it entertains me and so does the remix. -

A-side is a dance floor killer, don't know how people don't like it.
B-side is a footwork jam out. Again how can you not like it -

Burial is absolutely smashing it. Pure vibes on this one. rate that kode9 remix too, he's pretty inspired by footwork in recent years, i love it. copped the wax no doubt -

Not a 10" fan at all. I've decided to skip these recent 10" releases since the digital has been mastered well...sounds great! However my vinyl collection will be missing these new Burial singles. :( If they were released as a 12", I would buy especially Rodent since it's less than 5min and would be optimal playback along the outer edge of a 12" vs 10". Subtemple/Beachfires running 7-10min each side of a 10"? Eek! Young Death on 12" sounds great but kinda short.
Also given these recent Burial releases have taken a different direction (feel less immersive) and shorter compared to previous EPs (Rival Dealer, Truant, Kindred...), I find the digital very satisfying to relax and enjoy without having to break my concentration to flip sides. Throw the tracks on my old iPod and make a playlist...very enjoyable!
Rodent Bandcamp is 24bit @2£. Subtemple BC is 16bit @2£. (Sweetz is also found on Zomby Ultra 2x12"). So spend 2£ for lossless digital or at least 7£+shipping via BC/UK distributor (US Amazon @ $13-15) for a 10"? Hmmm... -

pretty disappointed in this release. Just put True Love VIP on a 12" already!! -

The vinyl is going to be a 10" again. Why? Just do a 12" 45, I think everybody would prefer that, surely?
Doesn't matter anyway, track is pretty decent, much better than his last two releases, but no where near enough on its own for me to buy it. -

Rodent is great although short. I don't get the Kode9 Remix at all.
