I think people have bad setups. Spun this using a ortofon blue cart and it sounds really good. I have the greatest hits which i was playing before this one and the difference is night and day. The greatest hits was really quiet and bland, almost like they were playing in anther room down the hall with both doors shut.
This was loud, clear, dynamic and no surface noise. I cleaned my record, it was still in shrink when I got it. -
just picked up a copy of this. sounds so good. love the color and the cover also definitely a great collectors item -

Live this record many hits on it great pressing but mine came with a few scratches on the cover -
Anyone else’s copy have “Made in Poland” stamped on the reverse on the shrink wrap? Trying to differentiate between the US pressing, but the only difference on the listing seems to be the “UMe” credit which mine does not have. Hoping it’s the European pressing due to comments about sound quality. Thanks! -

Pressing looks really pretty but this is one of the worst pressings I’ve ever heard, the music was already really compressed to begin with but it sounds so much worse on this pressing, severe lack of dynamics and horrible inner groove distortion. I wasn’t expecting much but this is truly terrible, which sucks because this album is great -

Not the best pressing, though the hate is unwarranted. My copy is clear, no crackles or pops, and honestly sounds really good. It does have a little bit of a muffled quality due to it being a digitally sourced master rather than analog, but it’s probably the best quality there’s going be unless it randomly gets an actual quality repress which I highly doubt, though maybe in a few years for the 20th anniversary.
