This was fire & i loved it! I bought all the samurai champloo records & i’d argue those records go head to head with cowboy bebops box set even if cowboy bebop has more material.
Both are awesome & that’s what its all about:) -
This release was very well done, and I mean the whole of these Samurai Champloo series.
All records getting the vinyl-space they deserve, not overcrowding.
The music here is just phenomenal, lovely balance and punch, excellent mastering.
The Samurai Champloo 3xLP coloured releases which popped up a while ago had some skipping issues on a few tracks, none on these releases! (Though to be fair, if you set your needle and anti-skate properly, you can omit those skips -speaking from personal experience. Easily do-able but takes a little time)
It's somewhat odd at times hearing only one of the artists per side, instead of more a story-like performance given in the 3xLP release, though it also gives you more of a set listening environment for longer.
All in all a must to own albeit you're a fan of the series, or just just jazzy hip hop in general!
, the price is higher because Japan releases use virgin vinyl -which imho is totally worth it (and would wish some other artists/labels would look into doing too for that matter.) -
im enjoying listening to all of these songs in proper order. way better than the bootleg in that regard. the sound quality is comparable to the bootleg in some aspects but still sounds incredible overall. you won’t regret adding this to your collection.

The back cover and the label of the record has an error.
It is said the disc 2 B side tracks are produced by Fat jon, but they are actually produced by Nujabes. But tracklist in the lyric sheet is correct. wth bruh -
Can someone that tracks 5 and 6 are named the right thing? VGMdb says it's "death wish" then "set it off", and that's what it says on the scan of the back cover here too.

I really want to buy the CD's of the Samurai Champloo album, then them as FLACs so everyone can enjoy the music at the best quality.

Wow, I am very impressed by how deep the bass goes on the CD compared to the MP3 files I've been listening to for my entire life. For example, the bass on the second track "Nightshift" has an continuous bass line and when I compare the CD to the MP3 it is very clear that although the MP3 does have bass it is obvious that some lower-end frequencies have been cut off compared to the CD. If you are a Nujabes fan then I definitely recommend getting the CD for the full experience.

For dancers, a very special track, World Without Words is easily Nujabes finest.
Buy it purely for this tune.
