A mixed bag. The album includes Armand's all-time greats (Witch Doktor, U Don't Know Me, Psychic Bounty Killaz) and some of the mixes which made him one of the world's most sought-after remixers. But on the other hand, it also contains his worst ever tracks (Barbra Streisand and Bonkers) and shows how much the quality of his music declined after the end of the 90s. All in all, if you're looking for a good Van Helden showcase, I'd recommend "Da Club Phenomena" (released in 1997 on Club Tools) over this.
Also, I don't know why Defected doesn't even bother anymore to issue their albums in proper CD cases. These cardboard sleeves rip easily and provide no protection. I recently bought one of their "Glitterbox" compilations, and the sleeves were so tight that the CDs scratched simply from taking them out of the sleeve. How hard can it be to just provide some decent jewel cases?
