The Carl Craig mix is absolute gold as a mixing tool. It has the vibe of an acapella and it's therefore pretty forgiving to mix with (in of beat matching). It's just really fun to use as a quick transition between two tracks. Drop it in, mix out the existing track relatively quickly and then drop a strong 4-4 beat back in. I like coming back in with Red 2 :)

This has been a secret tool amongst techno & deep house jocks for over 10 years and I didn't really get C2's version of Good Life until I heard it loudly on a fairly big system. An incredibly deep techno number that starts off with a minimal beat and vocals from both Paris/Ann and Carl himself. He ad-libs and sings along in a very slick stylee. Eventually, Craig filters in the lead and about 4minutes in track kicks along quite proper with a chunky bass stab and from then it alternates between Carl working the delay and the vocal hook.

The Tommy Onyx remixes were the ones that commercially were pushing the '99 release but unlike the '88 revisited mix which just beefed up the original, the Barcelona mix goes on a slightly deeper tip.

Stacey Pullen deviates from the original modus operandi and does a techy house version that rearranges the notes of the original lead. The vocals are worked in a style very similar to the older style when the vocals were usually sampled of some disco acapella.

This was an interesting remix, using spanish vocals actually made the song more interesting for me. Way Out West's remix was deep and trancy, nice remix.
