Hooked On

Popular series of early 1980s known for making medleys with a drum-machine beat popular. The series started off with the release of "Hooked On Classics" which was followed with several other volumes and later branched out to different styles as well, such as "Hooked On Swing," “Hooked On Instrumentals,” and more. The first issues were released by RCA Records in the USA. “Classics” was released as part of the Victor series instead of the Red Seal series because of the constant beat in each track in order to appeal to the pop-oriented audience.
