Sampled

Virgin records compilations series from 2000-2003. Each contains a 2 Disc set of original songs in many genres including, Pop, Funk, Jazz, Disco etc. that have been sampled by other artists. The series leans towards commercial dance hit samples from the UK and US but also contains tracks sampled in popular Hip-Hop tracks and others. Back covers contain a reference to (one of) the sampling tracks.

Note some tracks are edited to reduce playtime (e.g Billy Cobham - Stratus) to presumably fit more tracks on the disc. In some cases this has led to the sampled part of the song being omitted.
