Acronym of La Voce Del Padrone-Columbia-Marconiphone S.p.A.;
Born in 1931 under the direction of John Barriman, inspired by the "London" merger between Electric & Musical Industries Ltd. (EMI).
During the war it ed under the direct control of the State, and in December 1946 he was appointed to the direction Andrew Forbes, who remained there until May 1949.
The Managements of the label will always be english, nominated by the British EMI.
The name was in use until february 1967; in march the company changed into Electric & Musical Industries Italiana S.p.A like the international one
