Theater Basel

Theatre of the city of Basel in Switzerland. It was first established in 1834, the todays' building was opened in 1909, after its predecessor burnt down in 1904.
Initially, the theatre was called Stadttheater Basel, after fusion with another local theatre in 1968 it was part of the "Basler Theater" and received the name "Theater Basel" finally in 1988.
