Black Shroud

Black Shroud Records is a fictional record company within the mythology of The Residents' Mole Trilogy, particularly Part Four of the trilogy, the 1985 album The Big Bubble, which is presented as an album by the fictional garage band of the same name, issued on the label.

In the credits for the album-within-the-album, Black Shroud Records is said to be managed by company president Frankie DuVall, and its postal address is given as 566 Folsom Street, Chubsville, N.E.S..

The label appears to have Zinkenite sympathies; The Big Bubble's song "Cry for the Fire" causes controversy among Chub society as it features a verse in the forbidden Mohelmot language.
