NYC plating and processing company that started around Jan/Feb of 1949, also known as Mastercraft Record Plating, Inc. and Mastercraft Record Plating.

NOT TO BE CONFUSED with Mastercraft Record Plating which is a New Jersey company that started in 1983 and offers many of the same services.

The company got its start by purchasing the old Decca plating plant on January 29, 1949. The plant was run by Al Osier, a chemical engineer, who had previously functioned in similar roles at World Plating, Columbia Records Pressing Plant, Hollywood.

From 1948 to June1968, Philip A. Johann, Jr. was the GM and Sales Manager before ing Carnegie Hall Recording Studios. He did not own the company.

They were known to have provided plating & processing services for Bestway Products Inc. into the early 1980's.

They filed for bankruptcy in June 1980 with Len Frank still as President, but were still in business as of August 1982.
