Pioneer Optical Disc (officially Pioneer Optical Disc Europe S.A.) was a Spanish optical disc manufacturer tly established in 1996 by Pioneer Video Corp. and Pioneer Electronics Espana S.A., primarily as a DVD manufacturer. The company opened a manufacturing plant in Barberá del Valls, near Barcelona, in 1997. The manufacturing plant was purchased by Multimedia Optical Disc.

Pioneer Optical Disc can be identified by 'PIONEER' or 'POD' in the disc matrix in combination with SID codes IFPI LJ31 and U6**. Sometimes Pioneer Optical Disc may not be named at all (e.g. when a POD glass master was used for replication by an external pressing plant), but it can be identified and credited based on these SID codes.
