Red Eye Records
Profile: |
The independent label was started in the rear of the pre-existing Red Eye Records Store In 1985. The Red Eye Record Label ran independently until 1990 when it entered into a t venture arrangement with Polydor Records. After several years of success the t venture ceased at the end of 1996 with Red Eye MD John Foy retaining the label name and company structure. Polydor continued with much of the Red Eye catalogue but eventually retained only The Cruel Sea from the roster of Red Eye Artists. Polydor is part now of the Universal Music Group. The Australian Red Eye Records still exists as a music retail business in Sydney. |

I absolutely love going to Red Eye Records, and I have been one of their most loyal customers for almost seven years now.

From what i can tell, Red eye has had an important place in the Sydney music scene for a while, they also have a cool store, checked it out today with the girlfriend and she seemed satisfied, they also have an expansive catalog of records in the Sydney store for once i was actually surprised to not find an album i was looking for in there. i will definitely be going there again soon
