Omega Recording Studios

Profile:

A full-service recording and mastering studio that was located in Kensington, Maryland from 1968 until 1985 when it moved to new facility in Rockville, Maryland, just north of north of Washington, DC.

It was founded by Bob Yesbek, who operated it in conjunction with The Omega Studios’ School of Applied Recording Arts and Sciences until 1992 when Edward Petersen's Studio Productions, Inc. acquired both the school and the studio.

Early releases (late-1960s to at least mid-1970s) have a "WRY" number in the matrix (label and/or runouts) that appears to be sequential and can be used to roughly estimate release date.
