Empire Musicwerks

Miami-based label was started by industry veteran Sharon Slade.
Empire Musicwerks came from the ashes of many labels that it acquired over the years. With access to 86,000 master recordings, the label was renamed Essential Media Group in 2007, the same year that Empire lost its UMG distribution contract.
They also have their own Pro-Tools digital studio 'The Factor:E Studios'.
