XRCD

JVC audiophile re-release series "eXtended Resolution Compact Disc" (XRCD) is manufactured using a unique high end mastering and manufacturing process. The releases are packed in thick cardboard booklet covers. Though a late '80s production year originating from the first CD release can be found on some releases, they were not manufactured until after 1993.

The XRCD mastering process has been revised a number of times since inception.
