When it first appeared (somewhere in 97) the Future trance compilation was a real refreshment..
Even extended versions of the songs were released on quite a few numbers..
Over time, that trend stopped and now only short 'radio'' versions appear on FT compilations, which simply do not have charm...
It is important to cram as many titles as possible on each CD to satisfy the format - more is better.. (But is not)
Future Trance expresses just about everything wrong with the commercial dance music scene today.
The radio versions are too short and do not draw you into the essence of dance music.
You simply don't allow a song to enter your ear, conquer the dance floor and become a hit...
And the performers were drawn from the margins of the EDM and trance/techno scenes, mostly from (honorable exceptions) ....
It all boils down to: put out a single and if it es, it es, if you don't forget about it because the new Future trance is coming out tomorrow and you need to make a new single...
Which also falls into oblivion before it even came out...
If so, here is an example..
Some songs, even if you want to buy them on maxi single or vinyl single, you can't, because they simply haven't come out in their full true form.. They won't even live because the new Future trance is already coming out tomorrow and who cares about the one from yesterday.......
That's exactly why I stopped buying this compilation after Vol.50...Now comming out vol.100-----who cares??

Have seen some artists names on some of these compilations they're all unknown artists . Probably from third and fourth zone nightclubs in and some Eastern European countries . Have listened to a few of them thru Youtube to give me an idea and it's all except my cup of tea . It goes nowhere to any good alot of what i have listened is boring and offers nothing exceptionnal nor unique anymore . This Future Trance offers way too many EDM found on Tommorow Land parties and alike . Also this series offers the exact same material as "Serious Beats" .

This Future Trance is for the mainstream lovers which i totaly respect "to each their own tastes and likes" but for me it's a big NO . There are better compilations that has done a better effort into putting excellent tracks together , yes many of them are defunct which doesn't mean they were bad . They're now rare and very sought for today .

One of my most cherished compilation series, collected all 93 of them (plus the limited editions) and going to get 94 when it comes out this November. My favourite volumes are 14-40 (2000-2007). I don't mind listening to the radio edits and mixes at all but I do like full length tracks every so often which series such as D.Trance caters to that.

Being a Brit, these albums were never released here, we instead have Clubland and the era of music that I like from them has long since died down and replaced with house music you hear in the Top 40. There just something so thumping listening to Hard Trance and Hands-up which were mostly made by German producers. Maybe I was born in the wrong country.

I think Future Trance has a nice system going with their recent comps. Disc 1 for your commercial house hits people, Disc 2 for your Hardstyle and Hands-up folks and Disc 3 mixed by FTU with the latest uplifting Trance music which is usually top-notch and the album covers has becoming less dull like they were on 61-87.

Future Trance expresses just about everything wrong with the commercial dance music scene today. Polystar slaps the name ‘trance’ onto a compilation series of mostly big room house music (crap EDM). Back in the ‘oldschool days’ Future Trance was already mediocre with a large selection of radio edits for average trance songs. Sure, if you’re into that sort of thing that’s totally fine. Most of the more hardcore trance junkies will tell you to keep your Future Trance and give us something else.

I do not agree with Wearenation303 in comparing Future Trance with the likes of Trancemaster. The two compilation series’ are not comparable; Future Trance is a commercialised series for mainstream markets and Trancemaster, Rave Mission, Ravermeister, D.Trance, etc… were conceived for traditionalists (and that’s why they’re all gone – except for D.Trance).

Maybe there were some good tracks put in, but I have only a few volumes to go by. The new Future Trance sets lack much trance entirely but are somewhat redeemed for with a dj mix third disc – DJ Gollum & Empyre One had an excellent mix on Vol. 69.

Future Trance and Dream Dance and Trance Voices are the holy trinity of Electronica music. Too bad Trance Voices hasn't had a new release since 2010 :-( I loooove that one. So Tunnel Trance Force has kinda filled in....

Those albums are the biggest and often the best sampling... I do it FT had a bit of a slump and vol 53, 50, 45 and some of the selections on some of the teens weren't so good..... However that series on a whole is nice...

They have picked back up and have done a very good job with the 57,58,59,60 tracks... 61 did very good ;-)

However on a whole the series is fantastic and it seems to be everyone's starting point into Trance, Hardtrance, and Hands-up.

I recommend the following volumes as a whole:
            15-42,43,47,52,54,55,56,57,58,59,60

There are a few tracks on the ones I didn't list, however the albums may not be worth purchasing and you would be best off buying the individual tracks.

Please note, however, that this series is primarily hardtrance and hands-up and not your relaxing kind of trance music. However it does have a few tracks per disc that would fall into this. I prefer the faster harder trance though.
