JVC World Sounds

A series of field and concert recordings of traditional musicians by the Japanese JVC label.

This series took over the CD Ethnic Sound Series catalog, the first 40 titles (VICG-5001 to 5040) were released in 1990.
After that, the series continued to release titles in several phases, totaling 100 titles by 1994.
In 2000, it was merged with another series JVC World Sounds Special (33 titles). 37 titles were removed from both series and 4 titles were added, bringing the total to 100 titles, which were then re-released.
