Μίνως Μάτσας & Υιός Α.Ε.

Profile:

Greek record company, established in early 1960 by Μίνως Μάτσας, who, in 1965, became CEO until his death.
Initially, the company marketed locally the Margophone which replaced Odeon and Parlophone respectively.
It was the first Greek record company to sign an exclusive contract with a songwriter, Λευτέρης Παπαδόπουλος, in the mid-1960s. Leftéris Papadópoulos held this position for six months only.
On 28 November 1968, they purchased the founded and owned by Standard (7) and the machinery of its pressing plant. A few years later, they sold the machinery to Cyprus.

Μίνως Μάτσας & Υιός Α.Ε. should only be used as a Record Company and not as the primary label.
