HIGH-ENERGY DOUBLE DANCE was a popular South African double-LP series of mix compilations with a traditional running time of some 80 minutes. It started with Volume 1 in 1984 and ended with Volume 15 in 1998.
In addition to the 15 volumes, a BEST OF HIGH-ENERGY DOUBLE DANCE edition was output in 1989, making the series consist of 16 official releases. Released by Scorpio Music (5) in 1998; these final two volumes were CD-only releases, consisted of generic low quality early 90s techno music and did not sell well.
Note: Due to certain legal reasons, Volume 4 (released in 1985) had to be titled "Let Your Feet Do The Talking" DOUBLE DANCE - VOL. 4".
