I currently have about 80 different RVG Edition titles in my collection. In my opinion this series is a mixed bag. Sound quality of these remasters is pretty much all over the place. I however feel, that oftentimes these RVG remasters sound rather harsh, compressed and too 'hot' for my personal preference (sizzling cymbals etc.) If found cheap I don't hesitate to buy these titles, although I prefer those older Ron McMaster transfers or Connoisseur series remasters.

As far as I know, these RVG edition remasters can often be found on Universal Music Groups jazz boxsets (3 essential albums -series and 5 original albums -series).
