Some people claim their releases were sourced from CDs. That makes little sense when you consider that several of their titles were never released on CD. Their catalogue is also quite different from that of the usual suspects. There's very little mainstream jazz here, mostly interesting oddities and some underrated classics.

In accordance with the titles they reissued, we are able to make a judgment easily that this label does not own or access the original master tapes. Simply NOT proper audiophile production but just heavy vinyl pressing.

Ok so this is a public domain label run by Fresh Sounds.

There are reports of mixed provenance on these releases.

The owner of Fresh Sounds is said to have acquired a number of tapes back in the 80s, likely cutting masters (not original session recordings).
