Founded as The Right Stuff in the mid-80s as a shell company to purchase telescopes at wholesale prices, the company changed its name and shifted to anime home video distribution in 1987 with their licensing of the classic English language adaptation of the Astro Boy TV series, with catalog sales following shortly after. Growing over the following 35 years into a major anime distributor and retailer in the US, the company was acquired by streaming service Crunchyroll in 2022. |
