I've been going there since 1994 and it has always been a pleasant experience, although the selection is not as cutting-edge as it used to be.

The shops are located right at the centre of the city. There you can find everything you need for food, shopping, ...
If you want to get a drink I would recommend Bar Oskar at the Vlasmarkt which is also nearby.
Sells: all sort of stuff; CDs, DVDs, vinyls + multiple genres
I go there almost every week; they're very friendly.
The vinyls are priced at 8,50 euros a piece (some cost a bit more off course). They also do sales from time to time; then you can find vinyls for 2 euros.
The stock is a bit limited, but you can basically order any (recent) vinyl.
