I only had a brief stay here but did find one fashionable vinyl store which might be of interest to those of you who wish to mingle with übercool Japanese teenagers.
Woodstock. Reasonably large vinyl store with focus on hip hop, reggae, J-pop, rock and jazz. I couldn't find anything remotely electronic. :(
Sorry about the cryptic explanation, but here's how I found it. There is a large pedestrian shopping street covered with roof starting just east of the main bus terminal, the Kotsu Center. After a short walk inside it continues into a north-south direction. Just head north a couple of blocks until you reach its northern end, where it changes into a regular narrow street with traditional shops. Woodstock is on the west side not very far from this exit.
